WINNER for 2015 BEST SELF-PRODUCED CD in the Cleveland Blues Society’s annual International Blues Challenge competition.

Guitarists/Vocalists Sam Hooper & Mike Null met in 2010 while playing in Shanghai to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of House of Blues & Jazz. Both had performed hundreds of shows at the popular night spot and developed a loyal following from its international clientele.

The two blues men are now based in the Cleveland/Akron area when they're in the USA. They recently joined forces in Cleveland to record this 5-song blues treat. Release of the EP is planned for June of 2015. On it, they give fresh life to treasures by Junior Wells, Albert Collins, ZZ Top and John Lee Hooker and introduce a new Sam Hooper original. Fans of electric blues will feel right at home and may just want to start dancing!

"As the founder of House of Blues & Jazz in Shanghai, I've been so lucky to have Sam and Mike playing in my club.

Sam is the best guitarist who visited Shanghai. His guitar solo makes people forget to breathe. I can't tell whether he's using guitar to express himself or it's the holy spirituality inside his guitar.

His voice is full of attraction, what I've found the most overwhelming is his a Capella, it makes me full of tears.

Mike's voice is unique. His guitar can really sing. Listening to his performance, you can see the portraits of many blues legends. As if they are all Mike's mentors. Mike's guitar is full of expressive force, he is not imitating those legends, he absorbs the inspirations from them and perfects himself. Listening to his guitar, I forget his color."
